Guild History
For over thirty years, the KC Howard Guild has enjoyed working as a group of friends with one common goal-to support Seattle Children’s and help them realize their goal of making sure no child goes untreated because of their family’s ability to pay. In the process we have fun, do important community work and learn along the way!
Our group is named after Katherine Colwell Howard (KC Howard) who is the granddaughter of Anna Herr Clise, the founder of the Children’s Orthopedic Hospital in 1907. KC grew up volunteering her time and efforts over many years, involving herself in projects at the Hospital as well as serving on the Board of Trustees. The KC Howard Guild is honored to be named for her.
The Guild is comprised of approximately 40 members – all volunteers.
The Guild held its 29th Annual Holiday Luncheon auction in 2023! Our primary fundraising event is an annual luncheon and auction which is typically held on the first Monday in December. The format includes a small silent auction, a live auction, centerpiece auction and raise the paddle.
KC Howard Guild has raised over $2.5 million to date primarily for Seattle Children’s Uncompensated Care Fund!
