About KC Howard Guild
For over twenty-seven years, the KC Howard Guild has enjoyed working as a group of friends with one common goal: to support Seattle Children’s and help them realize their goal of making sure no child goes untreated because of their family’s ability to pay. In the process we have fun, support our community and learn along the way.
Our guild was founded by Nancy Senseney and friends in 1995 and is named after Katherine Colwell Howard (KC Howard), the granddaughter of Anna Herr Clise, founder of the Children’s Orthopedic Hospital in 1907. KC grew up volunteering her time over many years as well as serving on the Board of Trustees. The KC Howard Guild is honored to be named for her. Nancy Senseney is the great granddaughter of Anna Clise and has followed in KC’s footsteps by serving on several boards at Seattle Children’s.
To date, the guild has raised over $2.3 million for Seattle Children’s Uncompensated Care and Research, mainly through our Holiday Luncheon held annually on the first Monday of December. This event has become a wonderful holiday tradition bringing together patient families, guild members and guests.
